Hello,
My journey to becoming a therapist wasn't a straight line, and I believe that’s my greatest strength. Previously, I spent years in the software industry, leading teams with a philosophy of moving forward without all the answers. The method was simple: start with what we know, take a meaningful step, and see what happens. If it works, we build on it. If not, we learn, adjust, and try a new path. There was no getting stuck, only learning and adapting.
I bring this same mindset to my work with children and families. There's no rigid, one-size-fits-all plan. Together, we’ll understand your child’s world and take practical steps forward, celebrating what works and compassionately adjusting what doesn’t.
My understanding of a child's world is also shaped by diverse experiences as a Case Manager, a paraprofessional in Douglas County schools, and a DCF investigator. These roles taught me that a child's challenges are inseparable from their environment—their home, school, and family.
In our sessions, I am direct, but always with humor and compassion. My goal is to create a space where your child feels seen and you feel empowered. Drawing from my Master's in Clinical Mental Health and training in contemplative therapy, I integrate mindfulness and self-compassion tools. I am also training for Synergetic Play Therapy certification to help children heal through their natural language of play. And in EMDR training.
